- What is the Ultimate Engineering Disc Brake Kit?
- The Ultimate Engineering Disc Brake Kit is a kit for adding a rear disc brake system to VW type 2, T3/T25 and split buses with bay IRS conversion.
- Why do I need it?
- Brake drums are old technology. They are inefficient and need constant maintenance. Disk brakes on the other hand don't need this constant adjustment. The provide smoother and more reliable braking without fade, essential if you are towing or have upgraded your engine. They also look cool!
- Won't they upset my brake bias?
- No. The kit has been especially designed to utilise a specific caliper to ensure this is not a problem.
- Will my wheels fit over it?
- Any 15" or greater wheel will fit over the kit. 14" wheels won't fit.
- What comes with the kit?
- The kit comes with everything you need to fit the kit:
- Modified hubs to suit your vehicle (exchange items)
- Brembo discs
- New calipers
- Hybrid cables
- Caliper brackets
- All required bolts

- I can't send you my hubs until I have fitted the kit!
- Don't worry, you can purchase the kit from us with an extra £50 surcharge. We will then send you a complete kit, including ready modified hubs. You will get the £50 back when we receive your old hubs, provided they are usable. We can arrange this to your convenience.
- Can I fit it myself?
- The kit has been designed to be simple and straightforward to fit. If you could change the rear brake shoes for example, then you could fit this kit. You might want to have a read of the Fitting Guide before you order. Also don't forget you can also contact us with any questions/issues you may have when fitting it.
- What happens when I need new discs/pads?
- We sell replacement discs and pads at a very competitive rate. We can also advise on sourcing disks and pads from a supplier local to you, if necessary.
- Can I buy the parts separately?
- No. In order to retain the quality and integrity of our product, the kit must be brought complete (apart from the consumables that may be purchased separately).
- Sounds like just what I need, how do I get one?
- Please contact us for payment and postage details.
